Welcome to the AGRED Foundation

Who Are We?

The American Gamebird Research Education & Development (AGRED) Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that now privately owns Lake Erling, located in beautiful Lafayette County, Arkansas. We endeavor to ensure that Lake Erling remains a relaxing and enjoyable place for residents in the surrounding communities. AGRED’s primary objective is to preserve and conserve the habitat in and around Lake Erling for the wildlife, birdlife, and fish.

AGRED in the News:

The AGRED Foundation would like to thank all those who continue to support us in our endeavors to improve, maintain and protect Lake Erling for the benefit of the wildlife, the fishery, habitat and community.

We now have 50 Wounded Patriots signed up for this years AGRED Foundation Wounded Patriots Fishing Tournament which is going to be held April 9th and 10th at The AGRED Park. This is the most fisherman we have ever had compete in this event. Future events will be limited to 50 participants as we feel logistically this is as many as we can coup with. We hope and pray for fine weather on April 9th and 10th as Mother Nature has not been too kind to us for the past events. Please note that the AGRED Park will be closed to the public starting at noon on Friday April 9th thru 4:00pm Saturday April 10th. We apologize to you the public for any inconvenience this may cause you however we feel this is a small concession to make for those who have sacrificed so much for our safety and security.

We are going to try and maintain the lake level at pool stage thru the spring spawn and will begin lowering the lake six to eight feet May 15th. While the February freeze has certainly killed most of the Giant Salvinia there is still a fair amount that survived this freeze and by lowering the lake we hope to spray the isolated pockets of Giant Salvinia where ever possible. We welcome public participation in the form of donations to The AGRED Foundation for the purpose of raising money specifically for spraying of the Giant Salvinia.

The AGRED Foundation will be working on two other maintenance projects this summer once the lake has been lowered. We will complete the work required at the siphon pipes and do all repairs to the expansion joints on the spillway

As always should you the public have any questions or wish to talk to us regarding Lake Erling we welcome you to contact us (318)210-0451
